I Met A Girl is a 2020 Australian romantic drama starring Brenton Thwaites,Lily Sullivan,Joel Jackson and Zahrs Newman. Directed by Luke Eve,the movie follows a young man named Devon(Thwaites) who happens to be an aspiring musician with schizophrenia. Losing control of his condition he falls off a roof building wanting to commit suicide and is awakened the next day in a different apartment where he meets a young woman named Lucy(Sullivan) who explains that her dog found him laying on the ground and she decided to help Devon out. However when Lucy disappears all of a sudden,Devon finds a note left by her telling him that she will see him in Sydney. But is she really real or is she just an illusion.

Overall I enjoyed this film. Especially the twist where I was saying to myself don't tell me Lucy is a ghost and Devon made her up. But surprisingly she wasn't as she was a patient with Devon at the mental hopsital. I've never heard of this film before only I stumbled on it today. The acting was good and I guess what drew me to this film was it's lead actor Brenton Thwaites who appeared in Maleficent as Prince Philip before he was replaced in its sequel.

A story that is much deeper than it seems at first. Original, daring, and compelling. I wasn't sure where it was headed. In some ways, it works more as a drama than a romance, but in the end, love is paramount to the story.

Mentally problem dude met his girl and did his best to find her. an emotional roller coaster ride from start to finish.
