If you are not into the racing world It will tell you all about it-Brilliantly Made Movie

Brilliantly made movie, not just for people into racing but for everyone. It tells it from the point of view of the people who make this sport awesome-The Riders. Awesomely made. The story line is also very good with a record being broken at the end also all the main characters that they have shown at the end end up in the hospital shows how dangerous it is of all the sports.

This movie shows the true story without any edits and makes it stand out wonderfully. If you are true racing fan you are gonna enjoy it even more. Very different from all the mainstream Hollywood racing movies which brings in different angles of crime. This is unlike those, concentrates on purely the sport and racing.

Its All about racing in this movie.

Exhilarating Film about the TT Race

I am not a petrol head, I don't really find motorbikes that interesting and I know nothing about the TT race.

But, this film is excellent. I really got the feeling of the speed these people ride at - it is truly frightening. I found myself with my hand in my mouth at some points at the utter, utter craziness of it all. It is a really well made and well put together documentary about one year of the Isle of Man TT Race following the major riders, event organisers and other people connected to the event.

The main focus of the film is a rider called Guy Martin...for obvious reasons...which you'll get when you watch the film. He is unconventionally good looking...funny...and a little bit eccentric. The other thing I loved about the film is the photography, generally. From the on-bike shots, to the sweeping aerial shots of the course. Overall a great movie.

One of two great racing films.

I've been a fan of the TT since I was 12, and finally got to see one in person in 2015. It was everything I'd hoped for, and more.

I've done some racing, and worked in the media, so I'm more critical than average when it comes to racing films. Until I watched Closer to the Edge, there was only one film that I considered "great", and that was Le Mans, with Steve McQueen. Now, there are two of what I consider great; ... Le Mans and Closer to the Edge.

This film is absolutely perfect, from start to finish. The camera work, music and the editing, ... especially the editing (by Beverley Mills), are excellent. If the camera work, edits and music during the run-up to the Senior TT don't give you goose-bumps, you aren't alive.

I only wish I'd seen this in a theater, in 3D, instead of on my computer screen. But on the other hand, I wouldn't be able to stop and replay scene after scene in a theater, or pause it to catch my breath every few minutes.

Everyone involved in the making of this excellent look at an amazing event should be proud of their work.
