Not very logical plot, but Samuel L. Jackson saves it

It is another action / noir - or whatever you wanna name it - film. Things are explained in half a second and the action, drama and love scenes take long minutes. A typical "you don't nedd to understand it, simply enjoy the action" thing. But you know what? That's what entertainment seems to be. Not that I like it, but it is what it is. And the film brings Samuel L. Jackson, one of everybody's favourite actors, so it is worthy trying "The Samaritan". The twists in the plot , mainly in the last minutes, play a good role and make the 90 min projection a good time.

Try it, but don't expect a lot.

Atmospheric, allow the narrative to unfold. Good noir.

Misunderstood. Jackson encountering evil incarnate. Nuanced performances. Credible and paced. There is a nice embracing of ambiguity, subtlety. Unless he had thought it out beforehand, being put in the position of such a dilemma is difficult. The resolution is appropriate. It is atmospheric and with sufficient intensity to hold your attention. An alternative narrative that takes chances and doesn't succumb to obvious stereotypes but gives them a fresh perspective.

Lame Hollywood vanilla crap

Typical Hollywood garbage. Formulaic, predictable, and clumsily borrowing plot devices from foreign films with heart who have done it a million times better.

As is typical of Hollywood trash, the movie makes it seem like it's edgy and risqué. But, ultimately, it never crosses any lines, in the end it always plays it safe. Meanwhile, the feeble-minded, arrogant, narcissistic American audience of dummies is allowed to maintain their moronic sense of moral superiority over the rest of the world.

Garbage. No wonder it's on Netflix.
