Very, very underrated.

When I first saw the previews for this film, I was on the fence about seeing it. To me, it looked like it could be a pretty good movie, or an absolute train wreck. Then I read the reviews, which weren't very good, and I was less sure about seeing it. A few days ago, I saw it out of boredom at a cheap movie theater. As I began to watch the film, I realized that the movie was very uplifting and emotional, with lots of other feelings. I can admit, I cried during the film and I think everyone else in the theater did too. This movie wasn't all perfect though. It was very predictable, and when something happened in the middle of the film, I could basically tell how it would end. All in all, I walked out of the theater feeling good, and I hope to see it again soon.

A word of advice, DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS OF THIS MOVIE. The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a great family movie to see, and it really gives you that warm feeling when you leave the theater.

The worst thing I've ever watched

Is this even supposed to exist? This movie does nothing but send terrible messages to people crazy about parenting with no qualifications to be by showing the terrible non-parenting of an even crazier couple. It's already bad when you don't even file the papers for adopting a child because "we'd rather tell you a long boring story about why you must give us a child even if through said story we'll show you only what kind of terrible people we are", plus you add a nonsensical story of a fake child-plant that grows up from a crazy couple that think is real, make them NEVER act like they even care about this discount Jesus that came out of nowhere, nagging and complaining about everything but what's to be complaining about, and never EVER questioning their horrible non-parenting? Who wrote this movie is absolutely insane and has no idea how to parenting. Just because you add that stupid pretentious wonder-like music doesn't mean your horrible screenplay becomes good, if anything makes it even worse. This movie isn't just horrible, it's a horrible movie that thinks is wonderful and charming. Well, guess what? It's not. It just sucks.

An interesting idea

Cindy and Jim form a lovely couple but a deep problem keeps them aside from true happiness: they cannot have a child. Decided to put an end to this terrible pain, they bury a box in the garden which contained all their wishes for a baby to have. Very soon, to their amazement, they find a real but also strange boy lurking around the house. This is the moment they've been dreaming for a long time but they are really not prepared for what's about to come.

It's an interesting story of an odd boy, but with some special talents, who's about to influence and change a lot of lives in his existence. It's thrilling, dramatic but also a bit funny sometimes. Unfortunately a bit too dramatic for my taste (especially the finale) and not as profound as I would have hoped (some moments were superficially taken care of and a lot of events seemed more like a parody rather than a serious act which would have been more appropriate). Overall, it's a good and enjoyable movie, especially if you're a more sensitive kind of person.
