Hostililty to the Utmost and Retaliation of The Winners

Movie Review: " The Kingdom" (2007)

Here comes the "war-on-terror" movie opening with a viciously-executed raiding machine guns and grenade attacks onto a peace-loving backyard of baseball-playing employees of the "American Oil Company" operating since 1938 for the Oil's worldwide distribution, when a FBI operative team selection, specialists in their particular fields ranging from forensics over explosives to full-immersive gun-fight combat captured by cinematographer Mauro Fiore directed by Peter Berg, who neglects political issues despite the summarizing animated opening montage on enterprising Oil business background information, when "Patriotism is King" in an fully-accessible mission of retaliation starring Jamie Foxx FBI-initiative squad leader alongside actress Jennifer Garner, keeping shapes since the highly-underrated ninja-action-movie "Elektra" (2005), when a 10-Minute heavy gunfight under an enormously-pressured showdown of rescuing one of their own, given face by Jason Bateman not prepared enough to make a difference in defyable emotionally-restraint contents of a simple-structured original screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan, keeping audience under action in loosely, yet entertaining punchlines by supreme support Chris Cooper as weaponizing special agent Grant Sykes, unable to come to high beats under Peter Berg's competent, nevertheless unusual emotionless directions; this action-thriller comes along after more then ten years in revision with no further depth but winning.

Very Underrated Movie

I feel this film is overlooked. The opening sequence gives a quick overview of Saudi/American relations that explains more in 2 minutes than an entire course at Harvard. The acting is excellent. The action is excellent. This movie is awesome and Peter Berg should be in the top 10 list of directors. Everyone involved in this movie killed it. Great film definitely watch it.

Good production, feels like propaganda, but good ending

This has all the perks of a good production, acting, etc...But to me the whole movie feels like US propaganda, like an excuse for all the bad it did and still does, but I must admit that the ending gives a good message and offsets that a little bit. It's a bit more than worth watching, but don't expect greatness, especially in realistic storyline..
