Another so-so show that is really more about the soundtrack.

This is not a great show but it is a good one. It is well worth seeing.

It has an outstanding soundtrack, very nice eye candy, a little action, a solid cast AND Costner comes dangerously close to being like a real boy when he delivers up his comedic lines.

As with most of his movies, Costner gives a fine, if somewhat wooden, performance in an otherwise well done show. It's Costner, he's Groot with a larger vocabulary but you get used to him after a while.

I can watch this movie every 5 - 7 years but I can listen to the soundtrack daily. How is it right that we lost Houston when the likes of Swift just won't go away?

A Terrific 90's Classic!!!

A former Secret Service agent takes on the job of bodyguard to a pop singer, whose lifestyle is most unlike a President's. The Bodyguard is probably one of the most underrated films that Kevin Costner has done next to Robin Hood and Waterworld. It combines so many great things together without being turned into a mess of it's own it has action, horror, drama, romance and great suspense. The late Whitney Houston shines as Rachel Marron especially every time that she sings the same goes for Kevin Costner as Frank Farmer he is an absolute badass when he wants to especially that scene with Mike Starr who plays Tony in the film was terrific that little fight scene that they had in the Kitchen was pretty funny. The 2 leading stars also have a great chemistry and they hold the movie quite well also the rest of the cast does a pretty good job too. Overall i can't buy the fact that this film has a 6.2/10 and a 39% on metacritic or a 32% on Rotten Tomatoes and no offense but pretty much half of this world loves this movie not just the actors but the songs as well especially the song "I will always love you" has become a cult classic and so has the film. (A+)

Lousy, unless you really love Whitney Houston

There's really only legitimate reason to watch The Bodyguard: if you're a Whitney Houston fan. And I mean total, complete, number-one fan. Anyone else in the audience will see from the first scene that Whitney is a terrible excuse for an actress, and the plot is as thin as the romance. And, if you don't even like her music, you haven't got a chance at making it through this movie.

Whitney's blatty, expressionless voice aside, this isn't a good movie. The love story of an extremely popular singer (gee, I wonder who plays her) and the man who is her bodyguard falls extremely flat. It's boring, there's no chemistry, and there's no sense of danger to even necessitate a bodyguard.

So, even though Kevin Costner's a cutie, this is one to skip unless you really, really love Whitney Houston songs.
