A Showdown with boredom

Plot; There's a showdown... in Little Tokyo.

Taking a different approach to the standard "buddy Cop" formula, Showdown in Little Tokyo sees two mismatched partners start off hating one another only to slowly gain a grudging mutual respect that ultimately turns into friendship. Oh, wait.

The components for a serviceable buddy cop film are here, but the whole thing plays like it was edited w/a Samurai sword (and in fact the studio did demand a series of cuts, bringing its runtime down to a brisk 79 minutes w/credits). The result is less a movie and more of a series of vignettes set to an irritatingly redundant score. For their part, buddy cops Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee bring the physical goods and do their best to bond despite having worse chemistry than Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi. The always good Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa does what he can w/his paper thin baddie and a young pre-Wayne's World Tia Carrere melts the screen as the token love interest. Sadly none of that is enough to salvage this clunky genre bottom feeder.

A very underrated buddy cop film

Plot: Two cops have to work together to bring down the yakuza, while trying to protect a beautiful women.

This is a very underrated buddy cop film with 2 great leads that have some great chemistry with each other. Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee make a great team and I wish they could've done another film together, but unfortunately that will never happen only in my dreams. The story is simple and effective which makes it work. The action is very well done by director Mark L. Lester showcasing both Dolph and Brandons skills effectively. The rest of the cast does a good job as well especially Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Yoshida who always plays a great villain as shown in Mortal Kombat. The film is fast paced and never boring, always keeps the story going and having us at the edge of our seats.

This is a buddy cop film that should be talked about more instead of ones like Ride Along, if you haven't seen this film, give it a chance you won't regret it.

I wanted to tell you, you have the biggest d*ck I've ever seen on a man. xD

Two cops have to work together to bring down the yakuza, while trying to protect a beautiful women. Showdown in Little Tokyo is a 1991 Action Film starring Dolph Lundgren, Brandon Lee, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Tia Carrere. The movie was directed by Mark L. Lester the man behind one of the most coolest action films ever made named "Commando" and just like that film this is another epic action movie with one liners, crazy action and a great chemistry between Lundgren and Lee plus Tagawa makes a terrific villain and the soundtrack is pretty cool too. The showdown between the 2 men is terrific and even tho is a 79 minute film it still moves very fast that you can't really tell. Overall this film has some Lethal Weapon, Red Heat and Tango and Cash vibes and it's definitely as good as those films that i mentioned plus Lundgren was a freaking beast back then and action fans won't be disappointed. (A+)
