If you're a Nic Cage fan, you should check it out; the plot was preposterous, but it was an entertaining movie overall

I just watched it. I give it 6.5 stars out of 10.

I only watched it because I'm a big Nicholas Cage fan.

The plot was preposterous.

The female protagonist's acting was very bad and unrealistic given the situations she was in. Her statue face became very obvious at the end when she kept the same statue face she showed for the entire movie.

The acting in general was decent, except for Nicholas Cage who is a great actor.

However, this movie kept me interested until the end since I wanted to find out what the heck was going on. I was entertained and didn't mind watching the whole thing.

Nicholas Cage is always great to watch act.

Conclusion: If you're a Nicholas Cage fan, you should watch it. If you're not a Nicholas Cage fan, then you might want to skip this one. The plot was preposterous, and the acting in general was only decent. However, the movie was full of mystery, some thrill, and some action that it kept me interested/entertained until the end. The ending was satisfying and wrapped things up fine.

Better than you expected, or box office showed

Somewhat based on The Star Chamber, 1983, do not give up on Nicolas Cage and even that plodding plot, because after all, he has convinced me many, many times he is a very handsome man. THAT in itself is great acting...... Olivier comes to mind. Guy Pearce? Wasted in a throw-away role. Watch for Cage though, he always delivers.

Standard Thriller

This is one of the better movies that Cage has been in in recent memory but that's not exactly saying too much if we're looking at his track record. Still, it's an enjoyable thriller full of your standard twists and turns that we are accustomed to seeing from this genre.

There's a few other "big" names in this in Pearce & Jones which is nice. Script is okay, directing is okay.

This is the type of movie you'd probably flip on halfway through on USA on a lazy Sunday afternoon and watch the last 45 minutes. Nothing special but could be worse.
