New Classic

This cute family story is well played by the talented lineup of actors. It should become a new family classic to entertain old and young!

Could've been better

As a Christian and as a movie buff, i will try not to make this review based on my Christian worldview, but due to some dialogue about God and about life i will say a few things based on my beliefs.

The performances are very good, but i can't say the same for the directing, a lot of scenes could've been edited out. If they're gonna add God into the dialogue then at least be respectful, debates are fine, but that blasphemous scene at the dinner table - no, that is just wrong.

This movie is about a family trying to get home for Christmas as well as the issues they have in each of their own lives. There isn't much of a plot, this film is more about each individual main character rather than the overall plot.

This flick depicts strained family relationships and misconceptions about single people who are over a certain age, and there's the wrong view about God, Christians, and faith. This flick is actually realistic, but they could have simply just made this overall motion picture slightly better, a lot of it is tacky.

Love the Coopers (or hate them)

I watched this movie just because it was on the TV and I got nothing better to do. And this is the typical Christmas holiday movie, but it is entertaining and funny.

It tells the story of various members from the Cooper family and how they get to arrive to the Christmas Dinner. As in this kind of movies, there are a lot of characters and you might connect better with ones than others. For example, I think Amanda Seyfried here was misused, and she could have give more, as well as others like the little kids needed less time on-screen (that's also usual in this movies). The characters I liked the most are Eleanor portrayed by a beautiful Olivia Wilde and Sam portrayed by John Goodman. It's not that the acting is superb but for me they were some of the best of the movie.

Of course it's not a perfect movie. Since the beginning you probably will guess how it will end. It's full of clich├ęs of romantic-holiday movies but it's still very enjoyable. Watch it if you want to have a good time, and I think this movie is specially made for Christmas time, so better if you watch in that time.
