Sequel to Tony Rome

In this perfect representative of the 1960s, Tony Rome is back! Frank Sinatra reprises his role as the private detective who lives on a houseboat in Miami, with an endless supply of booze, broads, and one-liners. In the sequel, he discovers a naked woman while scuba diving—which would normally be great except for one tiny detail: her feet are encased in cement.

As Frankie and Richard Conte try to solve the murder, they get entangled in the sordid world of gangsters, strippers, and the alcoholic Raquel Welch who can't seem to remember anything about the night of the murder. As you'd expect, since this is a cheesy detective movie from 1968, there's lots of bikini-clad broads, naked broads, one-liners that will either make you chuckle or groan, fight scenes full of humor, and a musical score that couldn't have been more 60s if it tried. If that's not what you're looking for, you'll probably sigh and complain for 90 minutes, but if you liked Tony Rome, you'll love seeing Frankie do it all over again in Lady in Cement.

Maca pa-ca to not say ca-ca

It is not just a joke with blondes, this blonde really caught her both feet in a piece of cement and waves on the ocean floor, where she meets Frank Sinatra. It's 1968's cool music (Hugo Montenegro) and the chicks are even coolest (Raquel Welch is one of them). The rest is just talk. And, unfortunately, in the only scene we see some blood, that does not look genuine, as shown in movies today, you can tell from a post that it is paint. I agreed to give it 2 points because I'm a generous guy. And for Raquel Welch's sexy ass. Not worth wasting one hour and a half watching it. Only if you love Raquel and Frank Sinatra.

The soundtrack made me want to throw up

I never saw this movie until now (2017) so there's no nostalgia element to factor in though I have fond memories of the Miami of that era and I'm not a big fan of many movies of the 60's. This movie was god awful! The soundtrack drove me crazy after just 5 minutes. The one liners: a few were good, most were not funny and some were so bad they were funny. Rachel Welsh looked good but there were not enough sexy outfits or bathing suits, her acting was tolerable. Dan Blocker did steal every scene. Lannie Kazan, I don't know how she garnered so much favor from reviewers because she was only in it for a few minutes. The script was no better than a TV show of the same era and the only reason that the movie would not be considered low budget would be because a. the cast and b. it was shot on location instead of a sound studio. I went in expecting a detective drama; I was surprised it was pure comedy.
