for the slow, simple minded

I'm guessing this is supposed to be a western for the masses? Cliché after cliché after cliché... it's so bad, you start to wonder if this is supposed to be a comedy, but then you realize, no, they actually tried to make a western and failed terribly. I actually laughed out loud at the ridiculousness of some of the scenes. Hard to watch. Don't waste your time. I've seen this movie a hundred times and this is the worst rendition.

See my Hicock review - Same applies

Watched the equally dire Hickock movie last night and another howler tonight.

Despite the excellent Stephen Lang being in it, he couldn't save the farcically bad acting of the rest of the cast , the dire story and the whole thing in general.

As someone else watching at the time pointed out - the characters all look clean and tidy whereas real westerns like Pale Rider they actually looked dirty, unshaven, wretched and like a real cowboy back then would probably look like - In all these modern cowboy movies the art is lost and its all full of pretty boys like Hemsworth with their six packs , tans and glamour boy antics - as my girlfriend often says- "where are all the real men these days"? - As i say , well you women ushered in the metrosexual and are now complaining that modern men have no balls so its actually your fault lol Feminism eh doesn't really know what it wants - like most women really but I digress...

Seriously though if you want a decent western you will have to look into a back catalogue of 20 years ago as I haven't seen anything to rival the WILD BUNCH or any of Clint Eastwoods epic westerns!

"Justice" is not a bad film, the trouble is it is half a century out of date. Having said that, the soundtrack is distinctly on the superior side. The film begins with the murder of a preacher in his church by the local mafia which is run by a man who has aspirations of political power. Then guess who rides into town? Yup, his brother, who just happens to be a marshall. He didn't realise his brother was dead, but of course he is nothing like a preacher, so revenge is in the air, and cleaning up the town.

There is a bit more to it than that, but the only real surprise comes towards the end, something that is either supernatural, karma or a bizarre happenstance depending on how religious you are or not. Our brooding anti-hero is authentic, but Clint Eastwood and a few others have long since done this character to death.
