A bad/good horror western action film.

I'll get right to it, this film was really not that bad. I mean it was bad, but I think it's one of those it's so bad it's good type of films. I first heard of this film back in 2009 and I waited for years and still nothing, then in 2013 it finally released to DVD. I found it so-so at best but I still liked it. I was at least glad the damn movie finally was released.

I'm aware that this film went through some problems in production, I know there was re-shoots and re-writes to this, but I think for a first time director (at least I think he is) did a decent job.

I honestly kinda enjoyed this film, I mean it's bad but I liked it. I consider this a guilty pleasure, I also know that Wesley Snipes went through tax evasion troubles during the production of this, and I think that's why there were re-shoots and re-writes probably to use Wesley as much as possible before his jail time.

Overall a decent and original story. It's bad but I liked it. I give it a 3/10. A guilty pleasure by any standard it's fun in a it's so bad it's good kind of way, and I think that's the point. At least I'm glad this was finally released.

one of the worst movies I had ever watched

I am a big fan of Wesley Snipes, and I watched this because he was in it. I thought it had to be a good movie because Wesley Snipes was in it, but this is one of the worst movies I have ever watched. No plot, no story line, and bad acting. I thought that at least Wesley Snipes would make it some what watchable, but his presence did nothing to enhance this movie. I keep watching knowing it would get better after a slow start, but this was not the case. Horrible, do not waste your time.

Could have been Blade 4 if executed correctly

First off, I am a huge Blade fan. I own them all and watched the final two in the theaters. I actually had a blade stand up in my college apartment(my brother got it from the Blade 2 promotion because he managed a movie theater at the time.) That is how much I like the Blade series!! So, to see Westley Snipes in the Wild West looking oh so Blade like had me pumped. Well pretty much right off the bat you quickly realize that this is no Blade 4. WS still had the look but the movie jumped around excessively and it was one of the most difficult movies I have ever watched when it came to just understanding what was the main character's motivation and what was he fighting against exactly. I gave the movie a 4 because I actually watched it twice because I had so many unanswered questions. During the second viewing I was able to understand just a few of the movies details I had missed during the first watch because there are just things that happen in the story line that do not make sense no matter how many times you watch it.

I will just say that the movie had awesome potential and actually had a somewhat original plot. The men WS faces have been described as zombies and they look like vampires except that they really do not have any special abilities or powers. If anything they have a major weakness...they need new skin every week or so. WS's movie mother makes a pact with a devil like being ( no explanation given) to raise him from the dead when he is killed avenging his lover's rapers. But when he kills people some of them come back to life so they hang people from the gallows and then take their skin to wear.

I guess my point is that this could have been so much more. If a few changes were made and the movie's editing was not some of the all time worst who might have been enough to give Snipes' career a real shot in the arm.

On a side note it was cool seeing Diamond Dallas Page in the film as the notorious "SkullBucket."
