The First Movie I've Seen Do This Technique!

I'll start by saying this: I've been on a small boat in choppy water for six hours straight without getting sick. I've been on roller coasters and rides that spin. I've seen modern action movies. I've seen extremely poorly shot found footage movies. Never once have I been sick from them.

I almost threw up during this movie because of how awful the camera was. Even when people were just talking, the camera shook. During the action, the camera shook to the point where I couldn't entirely tell what I was supposed to be seeing, or even trying to look at.

Even if I didn't almost get sick during the movie, I couldn't tell you what was happening because I couldn't stop screaming in my head for the cameraman to "STOP SHAKING THE DAMN CAMERA!"

Saved by the ending

There are a lot of moments in this movie where what the characters do doesn't make any sense and how they end up in their situation is kind of random as hell as well. But the ending of this movie in my opinion cleverly explains how and why everything happens.

This movie is a "who done it" mixed with the style of classic slasher movies. At moments it does seem like you're just waiting for the next person to die so you can get on with the investigation, but the movie does have some decent moments of suspense and tension.

If you like found footage movies and enjoy some mystery with your horror go ahead and give this a watch.

Original and clever

'Evidence' is a very clever movie. Generally we have come to associate the 'found-footage' genre with horror movies, and one could possibly argue that 'Evidence' is in a way a horror movie. But to me it is far more of a mystery/thriller and the 'found-footage' concept works exquisitely in terms of the story. To have multiple cameras all being introduced one after another and adding a different perspective to the mystery added a great deal of depth to the film. The end result is a fantastically crafted thrill ride full of mystery and twists.

The only negative I could find about this movie is that it does get a little convoluted and confusing through the middle. There is so much going on and with the camera angles obviously not being ideal (simply due to them keeping the 'found-footage' concept realistic) that it is a little hard to follow. I didn't find this to detract much from my overall enjoyment of the film however. Other than that I can't really fault the film. The structure, pacing and acting were all of a very high standard and I would thoroughly recommend this film to as many people as I can.
