Wasn't as emotionally engaging, but visually decent.

There are some really beautiful scenes in Balto: Wolf Quest, and the film overall exceeded my expectations, but it still has its problems. Let's start with the good stuff.

Visually, the film is actually quite pleasing to the eye with dramatic angles and quickly moving in Balto's really cool dream sequence and with vibrant colours in his daughter's self-discovery.

And the not that good stuff.

Balto: Wolf Quest is not grounded in reality like its predecessor and didn't have much originality to the story, but it had its moments of decent voice acting from new characters like the soft and firm Nava and the menacing Niju. Aside from that we have to deal with new voices for the recurring characters, and it shows.

Boris is the most noticeable, and even if Charles Fleischer did a decent job, I found him too loud and not funny. I wasn't that keen of Muk and Luk in the original, but they seemed pointless here. Jodi Benson did the best performance as Jenna, I'll give her credit for that.

The story, while not original, had a spiritual theme to it and I would have liked that to be explored more, because it was shown so many times right from the start and especially in this beautiful scene when Balto's daughter is in a cave. It could have been so interesting.

I'm sure Balto: Wolf Quest will entertain on its own, and I was entertained, too. I feel it could have been better, but Even though it is a far cry from its predecessor, it is still among the better sequels out there.

It is horrible. Trust me

Alright listen. I will tell you every little error with this movie. First off, this movie was just straight up weird. It was nowhere close to being relevant to the first movie. It starts off w Balto having trippy dreams about being chased by a raven that's constantly making obnoxious noises. He then gets woken up by Boris. And now let me tell you about him for a minute. Boris looks NOTHING like himself in the first movie. In the first movie, he looked really good. But in the second one, he looked nothing like it. His voice actor was not horrible, but you can instantly tell it's another actor. Now Balto's actor had only just a couple parts of the movie that he sounded decent. Besides those parts, his new voice was garbage. His animation was also really bad and looked nothing like the first movie. Jenna's voice actor was the worst. She was a huge part of the first movie but was hardly seen at all in the sequel AND she had a really bad voice actor .Then Balto and Boris go to this random totem pole that was never there in the first movie, but magically appeared in the sequel. Then Balto and Boris enter the town. Now the town looked NOTHING like the town in the first movie. It looked like a completely different place. Then after that, this annoying dog barks constantly in a Scottish accent telling Balto That Jenna is having the pups. When he gets to the shed, Jenna looks horrible. Her animation was very sloppy and looked like they drew her lousy. It was really bad. Then every pup gets adopted except Aleu cause she looked like a wolf. (I'd adopt a half wolf, half dog any day.) then she gets mad when Balto finally tells her she looks like a wolf after almost being shot by a hunter. She then runs away for like 4 days and gets Balto to chase after her. The mouse was annoying, the wolves Niju, and those 3 other guys look wack. They don't even look like wolves. Then they meet some psychic wolf that can become "one with the tree" and fly out of it like Casper. Then they have to jump a huge ice bridge to survive. Then Aleu feels it's her destiny to lead the pack cause she feels out of place back at home. (I understand that, but it's a little unnecessary to do that if it meant leaving everyone she loved) that's one thing that bothered me. The last time she even saw Jenna was when she was mad. Then she just tells Balto "tell her I found my home" and leaves without seeing her own mom. Jenna was probably upset about that. The spirit type story really threw me off. It didn't tie in with the first movie and the spirit story just doesn't belong in Balto. It really doesn't. Then I noticed parts when Aleu and Balto would say a whole sentence, but their mouths wouldn't coordinate with the voices. It was really bad animation. NOTHING like the original. (The first Balto was amazing 10/10) the songs were also really bad and made no sense. So in total, the animation was bad, the voices were completely different and sounded nothing like the first movie, the story was horrible, and voice coordination was off. It was just a bad movie. I give respect for the team trying to make a sequel to the amazing first Balto, but it failed miserably

A very good and underrated Animated movie video sequel

We all know that the first Balto (1995) is the best of the trilogy but the sequels are very good and enjoyable so lets talk about wolf quest, for a kid movie it as charmed especially for the story, the animation is not bad, the music score is great (I especially love the music when Aleu choose her new home in the end), the voice acting is very good like I always like Mark Hamill (who is voicing the joker on the classic animated series of Batman) and in this movie he is voicing an evil wolf and it was perfect.

The movie had some default, some cheap dialogue, I already said that the animation was not bad but its not very great, but the viewers do not look far enough behind it, viewers thought that Aleu ran away because of the heritage of wolf well it wasn't exactly for that all her life she still had hope to be adopted but then her father reveal how humans sees her the truth about himself of his wolf part he never told her (which is a big mistake).

The ending broke my heart when Aleu Finally found her new home and who she is, the music score in this scene was perfect and beautiful.

It is actually a very brilliant and special movie for children that I will recommended.
